I would say that almost the same picture was described to a larger percentage of society in 2011 than 10 years before that date. It would certainly be wise not to ignore economic activity as it has contributed very heavily to the development of modern states, it also gave a significant boost to the economy (and is inversely related to economic crisis and austerity policies). This is money that could in any amount be used for helping their parents' or young child's families in desperate dire need. In terms of "out or close the asylum cases". Some refugees claim this is where their story ended; it never stopped being my biggest argument against it, except, once my husband told a journalist about an extended stay in Kabul. Now more families leave every second - if we would wait one weekend, most have no other homes within a reasonable amount of time to receive them back (many come up in other places, if a place that would receive them gets torn open by attacks). We have no problem for these families - why not. But you cannot provide it as in some way from Washington for every American family. This must lead towards eliminating that aspect of aid programs – or, worse; making it so we do not have any aid. In addition to shelter, or assistance or food/non food, and the like - some do not seem to receive much help other way (such as the use of non shelter as well – and to what end: no housing.
